HEADROOM returns to Azimut for the fourth year in a row. The one-day music festival, taking place on Saturday, September 26, once again opens its stage to young and up-and-coming bands. This year’s edition brings four names from Croatia’s emerging music scene to Šibenik: Kingship, Fargo, Zippo and Rtificial:Red.
HEADROOM was launched in 2023 with a simple idea: to give young and smaller bands from different parts of Croatia the opportunity to perform in front of new audiences, while at the same time creating a meeting place where a new music scene can grow and develop.
The festival is organised by young members of the Šibenik Youth Association, Tara Šolić and Lorenzo Ušić. Since its first edition, HEADROOM has grown alongside the team behind it, with an increasing number of young people from the local community becoming involved in its production over the years.
HEADROOM was never conceived simply as a place where young people come to listen to bands, but also as a space where they can actively take part in creating cultural programmes. This year, the festival is therefore expanding beyond its concert programme. Alongside the evening shows, a one-day podcast recording workshop with the performers will be held, giving participants the opportunity to work with professional equipment and learn about the podcast production process. The workshop will be led by Krešimir Grubić of Kolektiv 4B, who has many years of experience working within Šibenik’s independent cultural scene.

KINGSHIP / 20:15
Kingship is a young indie and hard rock band from Vodice. They started out in 2024 playing covers and have been working on their own songs since 2025. Their first performances together were at the final concerts of a summer guitar course in Vodice.
In 2024, they won first place at the “Vrana” high school band competition at Antun Vrančić High School in Šibenik. Through further performances on the local scene, they have continued to develop their own sound and gain live experience.
FARGO / 21:00
Fargo was formed in Zagreb in 2023. Their sound blends indie and art rock with the raw energy of Midwest emo.
At the end of 2025, they released their debut EP, “Many Other Things”.
ZIPPO / 22:00
Zagreb-based Zippo was formed in the autumn of 2023 by a group of friends brought together by their shared love of shoegaze and emo.
Their sound is characterised by dual vocals, catchy choruses, melancholic guitars and powerful drums, with bands such as Title Fight, Julie and My Bloody Valentine among the acts they have been compared to.
Rtificial:Red / 23:00
rtificial:red is a Zagreb-based heavy shoegaze trio formed in 2024. They stand out for their energetic and dynamic live performances, layered guitar sound and songs in which male and female vocals play equally important roles.
They draw inspiration from the alternative rock of the 1990s and 2000s, including Smashing Pumpkins, Hum and Deftones, as well as contemporary bands from the new wave of shoegaze such as Nothing, Whirr and Slow Crush.
All of their guitars are still in one piece.
