As part of Museum Night on Friday, January 30, the Independent Cultural Center Azimut, in collaboration with the Croatian Mountaineering Club Sv. Mihovil – Speleology Section, the Krka National Park Public Institution, and the Ruđer Bošković Institute, presents the program “Aquatic Treasures of the Karst Underground.” Registrations are also open for the youngest participants for a children’s workshop led by an expert in the field. The entire program is free of charge for all participants.

An engaging and educational program

This year’s Museum Night program at Azimut in Šibenik, consisting of a photo exhibition, film screening, lecture, and children’s workshop, is dedicated to the hidden and magnificent world of the karst underground, with water as its most important resource.

– It is intended for both children and adults, enthusiasts of the mysterious karst landscapes, as well as the wider public interested in exploring and understanding its most valuable component—water. Through engaging and educational content, the program connects the study of natural processes, heritage, and contemporary scientific knowledge, while also highlighting the sensitivity of underground water systems to pollution and climate change – state the representatives of the Kolektiv 4B association.

Take a Look Beneath the Surface

In the opening part of the program, Kolektiv 4B and NKC Azimut will present STEM promotion projects. The project “Kad odraSTEM” is intended for primary and secondary school students and develops knowledge in multimedia, audiovisual production, and artificial intelligence through hands-on work.

The project “Digital Horizons” focuses on the digitalization of the Independent Cultural Center Azimut and the introduction of modern presentation technology, which will be presented to the Šibenik public for the first time at this year’s Museum Night.

– Visitors of Museum Night are invited to look beneath the surface of familiar surroundings and to view water as a fundamental value that must be understood, preserved, and protected – the organizers emphasize.
