AJMO-Dimitrije Dimitrijević

Dimitrije Dimitrijević is a singer-songwriter project by Dimitrije Simović, bassist and vocalist of the Zagreb-based band Igralom, launched in 2017 in Zagreb. From its very beginnings, the project has evolved through open collaboration with various musicians, exploring the space between song, poetry, and contemporary production.
Through more than 80 concerts, Dimitrijević’s sound was shaped in collaboration with over 20 instrumentalists, eventually crystallizing on the debut album Čar-pitanje (Menart, 2020). The album blends intimate lyricism with elements of trip hop, blues, alternative, funk, synth pop, R&B, electronic, and ambient music, featuring a rich circle of guest musicians.
The second studio album, Leđa mala (Menart, 2023), brings a clearer and more cohesive sound, marking a significant artistic step forward. Recorded with a fixed lineup of musicians, the album differs in its production approach, yet both releases share a recognizable sensibility — emotional precision, subtle dramaturgy, and a strong commitment to honest musical dialogue.
A third studio album is announced for 2026, while Dimitrije Dimitrijević’s live performances remain a space of freedom and surprise. Audiences can expect an intimate atmosphere, spoken poetry, danceable rhythms, and occasional explosive waves of sound. Although performances by this project are always unpredictable, a particularly special experience is being prepared for Azimut.
