SUMMARY:D DIPLINZI - album promotion
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS\nŠibenik-based original rock band D Diplinzi return to their home ground with a new album\, “Prvi pa drugi\, drugi pa treći” (“First Then Second\, Second Then Third”)\, released by Croatia Records\, and a concert promotion that feels tailor-made for the stage. \nFormed in 2002\, the band left its mark on the local rock scene with albums such as “Odakle ti obraz?!” and “Ne bud’ lud!”. After several years of hiatus\, they have been active again since 2022 in a refreshed lineup: Branimir Lambaša (vocals)\, Mario Vrbat (bass)\, Krste Vrljevac (guitar)\, and Marko Dopuđ (drums). The result is material that doesn’t chase trends\, but delivers solid\, author-driven rock — confident\, direct\, and free of unnecessary compromise. \nThe new album features ten tracks with clear structures and strong energy\, mixed and mastered by Goran Martinac. The single “Jedan pa drugi\, drugi pa treći” already hinted at a band that sounds tight\, focused\, and fully ready for the live stage. \nToday\, D Diplinzi don’t sound like a comeback act — they sound like a band that knows exactly where it stands. And this concert is a chance to experience the new chapter live — loud\, concentrated\, and unapologetic.

SUMMARY:Flea Market – Textile Terror
DESCRIPTION:This Sunday\, March 8\, Šibenik becomes a place of resistance. Marking International Women’s Day\, the associations Kolektiv 4B\, Fotopoetika\, and Šibenik Youth Association ŠUM\, together with Azimut\, are organizing the program “From Stitch to Attitude”\, which includes the flea market “Textile Terror #3” and the illustration workshop “DRAW life LIKE HER.” Participation is free\, and registrations are open. \n\nTEXTILE TERROR\n10:30 — 13:30 \nIn the morning\, we open our doors to a flea market that doesn’t just sell clothes—it sells attitude. \nTextile Terror is a small attack on a big industry—the one that convinces us we need more\, faster\, cheaper. And the one that often exploits women and children in countries where labor and children’s rights are still treated as disposable. \nHere\, we don’t buy trends.Here\, we exchange\, repair\, reclaim\, free up our closets—and our conscience. \nBring pieces you no longer wear\, and find ones that will get a new life.Slow fashion as resistance. Style as awareness. \n\n17:00\nDRAW life LIKE HER — Illustration workshop with Mia Belamarić \nIn the afternoon\, we return to Azimut to meet the heroines who shaped science\, art\, politics\, and everyday life. Feminists\, scientists\, artists\, activists—women who pushed boundaries and opened doors for others. \nMia has prepared photographs as references for our illustrations\, but we won’t just draw. We’ll learn about their achievements\, the context in which they worked\, and why they still matter today. \nPaper\, line\, and knowledge.Portrait as homage. Drawing as remembrance. \n\nRegistrations:\ninfo@azimut.art \nSpaces are limited. Participation in the flea market does not require participation in the workshop\, and vice versa. For the flea market\, just bring your own stand\, while all necessary materials will be provided for workshop participants. \nLet’s not just be observers.Come to Azimut—exchange clothes\, draw resistance\, and stand together against an industry that continues to exploit women.

SUMMARY:WHISPERING TO ATMs
DESCRIPTION:The exhibition “Whispering to ATMs” is conceived as a composition of a visual element (graphics) and a literary text (micro prose). This relatively unusual combination of two artistic expressions is presented to the audience on multiple levels\, communicating both textually and visually\, and allowing for various interpretations; the visual stimulus intensifies the emotions carried by the texts. \nMeić began the process of creating stains by studying spontaneously formed marks from reality\, as well as exploring the possibilities of traditional intaglio printmaking techniques. Through the “beauty of chance” and the harmony of stains\, the artist seeks a way to dive deeper—by observing simple visual elements\, she reaches a space of feeling\, reflection\, and experience. \n“While reading the stories and browsing through existing prints\, I searched for details—zooming in\, rotating\, erasing\, redrawing\, and digitally intervening on my own scanned graphics. Sometimes isolating just a single line from the entire sheet\, or a millimeter-sized dot next to a large stain. This approach allowed for a freer and more direct transmission of thoughts after reading the story. In the desire not to separate words from visual elements\, I reacted impulsively\,” explains Meić. \nOne of the starting points of the collaboration between the two artists was a reflection on the overwhelming amount of information\, the sterility of today’s visual stimuli\, and the question of how and why we choose or reject certain content. As our gaze wanders across the visual field\, we select familiar images\, while abstract visual elements—such as a stain on a wall or a worn pedestrian crossing—remain unnoticed\, ignored. A similar thing happens with shorter literary forms (poetry\, micro prose\, short stories)\, which often go unnoticed in the cacophony of modern communication; they dissolve into the background\, as they are inherently quieter and more contemplative. \nAdditionally\, the visual component significantly defines the text: the dynamics of writing\, the content\, and the imposed framework of the artwork limit the space of the text\, yet the micro-story leaves the viewer with an emotion\, an image in the mind—not something literally remembered\, but something felt. \nIn this way\, the artists “glorify” simple\, pure visual content and short literary forms\, pointing to the importance of observing\, reading\, seeing\, and experiencing. \nWhispering to ATMs is conceived as a traveling exhibition. \n\nIvan Jozić (1981\, Zenica) holds a degree in economics and is the author of the short story collection Male Pig and Twenty Desperately in Love. He has been a finalist and winner of several literary competitions in Croatia and the region. His stories have been included in numerous national and regional anthologies and publications. He participated as one of Croatia’s representatives at the Frankfurt Book Fair in 2016. He lives and works in Zagreb. \nVida Meić (1991\, Čakovec) graduated in printmaking from the Teacher Education Department at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb with Summa Cum Laude honors. She is the recipient of seven awards for artistic work\, including the Erste Grand Prix\, the National and University Library Print Collection Award\, and the MSU Award. She has exhibited in around thirty group exhibitions and three solo exhibitions. She works as an assistant at the Academy of Fine Arts\, University of Zagreb.

SUMMARY:LEUT MAGNETIK
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS \nLeut Magnetik – Azimut’s 13th Anniversary \nWe’re celebrating thirteen years of Azimut with a band that was reshaping the local urban scene while others were still trying to tune in — Leut Magnetik. \nIn the early 2000s\, this Split-based collective built a cult following with albums like “B612” and the self-titled “Leut Magnetik”\, blending electronics\, pop sensibility\, and club energy into a sound that was ahead of its time. \nTheir songs didn’t follow trends — they set them. After a recording hiatus\, they returned in 2022 with the album “Celuloza” — more mature\, more direct\, and production-wise stripped back\, yet still driven by their unmistakable groove. \nThis isn’t a nostalgic throwback — it’s a birthday reset.Leut Magnetik in a club setting means pulse\, bass that sticks to the walls\, and a set that erases the line between concert and dance floor. \nWe’re celebrating thirteen years of Azimut the way it should be.

SUMMARY:La douleur exquise by Iva Perković
DESCRIPTION:  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLa douleur exquise by Iva Perković is not an exhibition that seeks empathy; it establishes it as a precondition. \nPerković operates within an expanded field of painting\, yet without the need to further legitimize it — the works themselves clearly demonstrate that painterly thinking here is merely a point of departure. A series of small-format works on paper functions as a fragmented herbarium: reduced palette\, dispersed stain\, a line that barely sustains form. The floral motif is neither decorative nor symbolically closed; it is reduced to the threshold of existence\, almost to the trace of its own disappearance. \nAt the same time\, the space is intersected by hanging installations — mobile\, but not playful. These are spatial constructions that owe more to reliquaries than to classical sculpture: branches\, textiles\, found elements\, and metal plates form a fragile yet disciplined structure. These suspended objects (more precisely: ambient mobiles / assemblages) do not “decorate” the space but organize it\, introducing a vertical rhythm that draws the viewer into the field of the work. \nParticularly noteworthy is the treatment of metal\, where Perković employs techniques close to the tradition of sacred craftsmanship — relief shaping of sheet metal using repoussé and chasing. Yet there is no nostalgia for icon painting here; metal is not a bearer of the sacred\, but of memory — of pressure\, imprint\, scar. The surface is not an image but a record of force. \nThe entire exhibition functions as a controlled system of tensions: between the fragility of paper and the hardness of metal\, between the organic lines of branches and the rigor of composition\, between the decorative impulse and its constant negation. Nothing fully disintegrates\, yet nothing is entirely stable. \nThe title La douleur exquise should not be read as an affective key\, but as a precise diagnosis. It refers to a pain that has already undergone filtration — what remains is the pure form of experience\, stripped of narrative excess. \nIva Perković (b. 1976\, Šibenik) works within contemporary art across photography\, installation\, and object-based practices. In her earlier work\, she focused on the human body and the immediacy of experience\, documenting “ordinary” models without constructed identity — as raw presence. \nIn her more recent work\, her interest shifts toward materiality and processes of transformation — she uses found elements and discarded materials\, reorganizing them into spatial\, often floating structures. Her installations are built from fragments (e.g.\, book pages shaped into floral forms)\, where narrative emerges from the material memory itself. \nShe continuously exhibits in Šibenik and participates in group projects and the local independent scene\, developing a practice that moves between image\, object\, and environment. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
