SUMMARY:Green Tour of Šibenik
DESCRIPTION:As part of the fifth edition of the Flora Dalmatica Nature Festival\, the Tourist Guides Association “Mihovil” Šibenik is once again organizing its recognizable themed walk – the Green Tour of Šibenik. \nThis special\, interactive walk takes you through the city’s green oases\, revealing stories about fascinating plants\, as well as the life and work of one of the most prominent European botanists of the 19th century – Šibenik native Robert Visiani. \nDuring the walk\, you will learn where Visiani was born\, where he was educated\, which parts of the city marked his life\, and where his final resting place is located. The program is further enriched by an interactive segment called the “Green Thread\,” which connects stories about nature\, the city\, and its heritage. \nThe tour is led by members of the “Mihovil” Association – Josipa Petrina\, Sandra Grgas\, Dražena Perkov\, and Zlatka Rodin\, while the Green Thread is guided by the Association’s long-time collaborator\, Sanja Mrša Vukman. \nThe meeting point is by the fountain in front of the Church of Our Lady Outside the City Walls (Gospa vanka Grada)\, in Lujo Maruna Park\, on Thursday\, April 9 at 5 PM. \nWe invite you to join us for this special\, double birthday walk – in honor of Robert Visiani\, as well as the 20th anniversary of the “Mihovil” Association\, which is celebrating this milestone together with fellow citizens through a series of free tours.

SUMMARY:Festival Čuvarkuća
DESCRIPTION:Organized by the Educational Incubator association\, the second edition of the festival “Čuvarkuća – Life Before Trail Markings” will take place in Šibenik from April 17 to 19. The event promotes a return to nature\, traditional knowledge\, and active outdoor living through lectures\, walks\, and excursions. \nThree days of lectures\, gatherings\, and field activities\nThe festival begins on Friday\, April 17\, at Azimut club\, where visitors can attend a series of lectures and presentations from 7 PM to 10 PM. The program includes an exhibition and lecture by Mića Samardžija about Mount Dinara\, a book presentation of Plants Know Better by Marija Paro\, a round table discussion titled “Return to the Land”\, and a presentation of the award-winning trilogy Between the Eagle and the Lion by writer Ana Cerovac. \nSaturday is reserved for a spontaneous field activity at one of the locations in the county\, which will be decided by the organizers during the festival\, while Sunday features a full-day educational train excursion titled “From Perković to the City.” \n\nThe goal: reconnect young people with nature and forgotten values\nThe organizers emphasize that the main idea of the festival is to encourage especially young people to spend more time in nature and\, through outdoor experiences\, learn about the lifestyle and knowledge of previous generations. \n“Modern times have disrupted the continuity of traditional life and distanced us from nature. Čuvarkuća aims to remind us that traces of that life are still all around us\,” the organizers state. \n\nThe festival is led by Marina Škrapić and Mladen Brajica\, with the participation of numerous schools\, mountaineering clubs\, associations\, family farms\, and tourist boards from Šibenik and the surrounding county. \n\nA gathering for those who want to learn from the past\nIn addition to the educational program\, visitors will have the opportunity to purchase books and local products from exhibitors.
