SUMMARY:STREET ART FESTIVAL
DESCRIPTION:From July 9 to 11\, the Šibenik Street Art Festival once again transforms NKC Azimut and its surroundings into a vibrant hub of urban art. Over three festival days\, visitors can enjoy exhibitions\, workshops\, film screenings\, a graffiti jam and a diverse music programme\, bringing together artists from Croatia\, Germany\, Belgium and Italy. This year’s guests include renowned Belgian street artist Jaune\, German artist Mittenimwald\, Belgian duo Zazzou & CoolJC\, and German artist and documentary filmmaker Ulrich Blanche. \nA special highlight of this year’s edition is a mural dedicated to Arsen Dedić\, paying tribute to one of Šibenik’s most celebrated artists. Through this contemporary mural project\, the festival continues to connect urban art with the city’s identity and cultural heritage. \nThe programme opens on Thursday with the festival launch and exhibitions\, while Friday features a stencil workshop for young participants\, live stencil painting by international artists\, and a screening of the documentary Stencil Stories\, followed by a discussion with its director\, Ulrich Blanche. \nSaturday is dedicated to the next generation of street artists with a graffiti workshop for children and young people\, followed by the Graffiti Jam in front of Azimut\, where local and international artists will create together. The festival concludes with a screening of Optički krikovi (Optical Screams) by director Lovorka Perić and a DJ set by D-Gree\, whose blend of afrobeat\, soul\, funk and groove will round off three days of urban art and culture in Šibenik.

SUMMARY:LITNJA KUŽINA
DESCRIPTION:Litnja Kužina\, a collective art & craft exhibition\, has for six consecutive years brought together artists from a wide range of creative disciplines and artistic practices during the summer months at NKC Azimut. \nWhat began as an opportunity for creative people to gather and present their work in one place has\, over the years\, grown into a project that offers a unique annual overview of what has been “cooking” in workshops\, studios\, garages\, living rooms\, and countless other spaces where ideas\, objects\, and artworks come to life—works that rarely have the chance to be seen together. \nThroughout the years\, Litnja Kužina has featured painters\, illustrators\, photographers\, ceramic artists\, jewellery makers\, designers\, sculptors\, and many other creatives whose common denominator is\, above all\, a passion for creating. For this reason\, Litnja Kužina has never been tied to a single theme\, medium\, or form of expression. Its value has always lain in the diversity of its participants and the works that share the same space year after year. \nIt is especially important to us that Litnja Kužina remains open and accessible. Through an annual open call\, the exhibition welcomes not only returning artists but also new faces\, new works\, and new stories. For some participants\, this exhibition is the very first opportunity to present their work to the public. \nThe sixth edition of Litnja Kužina will open on 24 July on the meadow in front of Azimut\, where both the artists and their works will be introduced to the audience. Following the opening event\, the exhibition will move into the gallery space of NKC Azimut\, where it will remain on view throughout August and September. \nThis year’s edition also introduces a new item to the menu. During August\, Mala Litnja Kužina (Little Summer Kitchen) will take place—a programme designed for children that will present various artistic practices featured in the exhibition through a series of four workshops. \nThe workshops will be led by the exhibiting artists themselves\, offering participants insight into their creative processes\, materials\, and methods through hands-on experience. Depending on each artist’s practice\, children will have the opportunity to experiment with different techniques and discover how the artworks they previously encountered in the gallery are created. The programme will conclude with an exhibition of works produced during the workshops. \nAlthough Litnja Kužina evolves from year to year\, its core idea remains unchanged: to bring together people who create\, to provide their work with a space in which it can be seen\, and to give audiences the opportunity to discover the creativity that surrounds us—often much closer than we might think.
