Last March, Boa II performed a concert at Club Azimut in Šibenik to celebrate the venue’s 11th anniversary, delivering some of the biggest hits of their career. The show was completely sold out and was recorded both in audio and video format. The result is the album “Live klub Azimut Šibenik”, which is available starting today via the Menart webshop or at the Menart multimedia bookstore.

From the very beginning, we knew this would be a special concert — not only because we were invited to mark the club’s 11th anniversary with our performance, but also because the timing was intriguing for the band. After a fantastic concert at the end of last year at Tvornica in Zagreb, we ended up having a several-month break due to circumstances, so after the very first rehearsal we decided that this time we would record the concert in both audio and video format.
Personally, this makes me especially happy because for the past few years I’ve been living between Šibenik and Zagreb, so my emotions connected to Šibenik are strong. This year also marks 45 years since my first public performances. Club Azimut itself is a special place. Located in a sensational spot next to Šibenik Cathedral, once you step inside, you enter another world — alternative and creative.
The concert was sold out, and the average age of the audience surprised us. Usually, most of our audience is closer to their fifties, but this time the average was under thirty. That gave the performance an extra charge and brought me back to early 1980s Zagreb — to shows at Lapidarij, the Student Center, and Kulušić.
I won’t say much about the band — I’ll leave that to you — except that Boa has always featured elite musicians from this region, and this new lineup maintains that level with ease.
Finally, I would like to thank everyone at Club Azimut for their hospitality and for creating the ideal conditions to record this document of one band and one club.”
