About Us

Club Azimut was founded in 2013 with the aim of promoting diverse cultural content, free from rigid forms and predefined frameworks, allowing for complete freedom of expression.

It is located in the historically significant space of the Šibenik Cisterns, built in 1453. At the time, the cisterns held two million liters of water and were essential to the life of medieval Šibenik. Today, there is no water in the cisterns.

Today, culture lives in the cisterns.

Club Azimut has received numerous professional awards for its interior design and the quality of its programming. Within the venue, visitors can encounter exhibitions by contemporary artists, discover numerous fascinating art installations, enjoy concerts and music, and be pleasantly surprised by our underground world and its unique atmosphere.

CLUB

With an annual average of around 250 organized events (concerts, literary evenings, stand-up comedy, pub quizzes, lectures, and panel discussions), and through the quality and execution of its programs, Azimut ranks among the very top of the Croatian independent cultural scene as one of its leading venues. Over the years, nearly all major names from the domestic and regional scene have appeared at Azimut, along with a large number of international guests.

GREEN STAGE

The Summer Stage was launched in 2013 with the aim of providing high-quality cultural content during the summer months and revitalizing the old town center. An attractive cultural program held on the green lawns in front of Azimut has become one of the recognizable summer images of Šibenik—one that we hope visitors will carry with them for a long time.

To date, Azimut has organized more than 650 different summer events on this stage, including concerts, screenings, exhibitions, workshops, and other cultural programs.

GALLERY

AZIMUT Gallery supports artists and makes art accessible to everyone. We strive to present projects in both physical and virtual spaces and to collaborate with artists in an open and transparent way, with the primary goal of introducing their work to a wider audience.

Our educational programs aim to introduce young minds to the possibilities of artistic expression, encourage new and fresh ways of thinking, and inspire innovation.

In 2019, we established a dedicated gallery space with the goal of sustaining and developing the visual arts scene.
