Flea Market – Textile Terror

March 8 @ 10:30 - 13:30

This Sunday, March 8, Šibenik becomes a place of resistance. Marking International Women’s Day, the associations Kolektiv 4B, Fotopoetika, and Šibenik Youth Association ŠUM, together with Azimut, are organizing the program “From Stitch to Attitude”, which includes the flea market “Textile Terror #3” and the illustration workshop “DRAW life LIKE HER.” Participation is free, and registrations are open.

TEXTILE TERROR

10:30 — 13:30

In the morning, we open our doors to a flea market that doesn’t just sell clothes—it sells attitude.

Textile Terror is a small attack on a big industry—the one that convinces us we need more, faster, cheaper. And the one that often exploits women and children in countries where labor and children’s rights are still treated as disposable.

Here, we don’t buy trends.
Here, we exchange, repair, reclaim, free up our closets—and our conscience.

Bring pieces you no longer wear, and find ones that will get a new life.
Slow fashion as resistance. Style as awareness.

17:00

DRAW life LIKE HER — Illustration workshop with Mia Belamarić

In the afternoon, we return to Azimut to meet the heroines who shaped science, art, politics, and everyday life. Feminists, scientists, artists, activists—women who pushed boundaries and opened doors for others.

Mia has prepared photographs as references for our illustrations, but we won’t just draw. We’ll learn about their achievements, the context in which they worked, and why they still matter today.

Paper, line, and knowledge.
Portrait as homage. Drawing as remembrance.

Spaces are limited. Participation in the flea market does not require participation in the workshop, and vice versa. For the flea market, just bring your own stand, while all necessary materials will be provided for workshop participants.

Let’s not just be observers.
Come to Azimut—exchange clothes, draw resistance, and stand together against an industry that continues to exploit women.
