As part of the national event Open Days of Associations 2026, the Šibenik-based association Kolektiv 4B is organizing an Open Day that will take place on Thursday, June 11, at 6:00 PM at NKC Azimut.

We invite representatives of NGOs, cultural organizations, media outlets, educational institutions, volunteers, artists, and interested citizens to join us for a gathering dedicated to collaboration and the development of the local community. This year’s Open Days of Associations focus on the theme of volunteering. We aim to bring together organizations and individuals who work with the community on a daily basis and open a discussion about the challenges we face—from engaging and motivating young people to strengthening cooperation among organizations and developing new joint initiatives.

As a response to some of these challenges, Kolektiv 4B has been implementing the projects Digital Horizons and Kad odraSTEM – A Reflection of Science for STEM Futures over the past two years. Through these projects, new opportunities have been created for working with citizens, young people, NGOs, and educational institutions. During the event, we will present how the tools, knowledge, and experience gained through these projects can be used to develop new programs and foster collaboration within the local community. The projects have already been presented at festivals in Ljubljana and Opatija, and this event will provide an opportunity to introduce their results and potential to the public in Šibenik.

The equipment acquired through the Digital Horizons project opens up new possibilities for artists, NGOs, media organizations, schools, and other institutions to organize contemporary and interactive events, educational activities, presentations, exhibitions, livestreams, and podcast content. The Kad odraSTEM project introduces students to the world of podcast production and artificial intelligence while also providing organizations with opportunities to develop their own programs and engage new generations in their activities.

Following the project presentations, there will be an open discussion on volunteering and inter-organizational cooperation. The central part of the evening will be a live podcast recording focused on volunteering, collaboration, and the future of NGOs in Šibenik, featuring representatives of civil society organizations from various fields of activity.

We invite all NGOs, volunteers, media representatives, educational institutions, and citizens to join us, share their experiences, and take part in a conversation about how collaboration can help us build a stronger, more active, and more connected community.

See you on Thursday, June 11, at 6:00 PM at NKC Azimut.
