Green Tour of Šibenik

As part of the fifth edition of the Flora Dalmatica Nature Festival, the Tourist Guides Association “Mihovil” Šibenik is once again organizing its recognizable themed walk – the Green Tour of Šibenik.

This special, interactive walk takes you through the city’s green oases, revealing stories about fascinating plants, as well as the life and work of one of the most prominent European botanists of the 19th century – Šibenik native Robert Visiani.

During the walk, you will learn where Visiani was born, where he was educated, which parts of the city marked his life, and where his final resting place is located. The program is further enriched by an interactive segment called the “Green Thread,” which connects stories about nature, the city, and its heritage.

The tour is led by members of the “Mihovil” Association – Josipa Petrina, Sandra Grgas, Dražena Perkov, and Zlatka Rodin, while the Green Thread is guided by the Association’s long-time collaborator, Sanja Mrša Vukman.

The meeting point is by the fountain in front of the Church of Our Lady Outside the City Walls (Gospa vanka Grada), in Lujo Maruna Park, on Thursday, April 9 at 5 PM.

We invite you to join us for this special, double birthday walk – in honor of Robert Visiani, as well as the 20th anniversary of the “Mihovil” Association, which is celebrating this milestone together with fellow citizens through a series of free tours.
